FUTURE SOUNDS RECORDS & ORIGAMI VINYL SET TO RELEASE LILOFEE 7" ON DEC 1ST

San Francisco based electro rock outfit, LILOFEE, are set to release a 7" with Echo Park's Origami Vinyl and Los Angeles based Future Sounds Records on December 1st. The 7" will feature the single, "Runaway" with a b-side, "In Flight".

Lead track, "Runaway" hums like Kim Wilde's "Kids In America" with a mix of Blondie's rapid-fire lyrics in "Rapture" that fits nicely next to contemporaries like Santogold or MIA. "In Flight" is a dreamy melancholy song of a girl who slowly turns into a bird and flies away, set to a musical backdrop of glitchy, radiating magic.

Two record release parties will take place around the launch of the "Runaway" vinyl, the first in San Francisco as Lilofee supports The Donnas at Slim's on December 9th and the second taking place in Los Angeles on December 16th at The Echo.

Lilofee's music is exactly like the dark German fairy tale it is named after, full of angst and love, dripping with affliction and laced with enchantment. Add to that a serious dance beat, a sprinkle of glitter and some remarkably catchy lyrics, and you have Lilofee.

The San Francisco duo, composed of Rob Easson and Kimi Recor, met through friends in 2007 and bonded over their mutual interest in dark pop, industrial music, and the Beatles. As Recor says, "the first time we played music together, we didn't leave the studio for 15 hours." The band has already shared the stage with Hercules & Love Affair, Sebastien Tellier, and opened for Deerhunter at this year's Noise Pop Music Festival in San Francisco.

As a live act, Lilofee transforms into a dynamic six piece, joined by drummer Dan Aquino, bassist Cyrus Etemad, guitarist Shea Roberts and keyboardist Chris Vick. Their collective musical experience comes through in their dramatic live performances and their dark, heavy sound has garnered comparison to bands such as Ladytron, Interpol and the Knife.

Lilofee's first full length - 'The Only Years' - will be released early in 2010.
