NEW SOUNDS: KUDU

I stuck around New York for an extra few days, and it was well worth it to see the band, KUDU at the Bowery Ballroom. A three piece that felt like THE GOSSIP meets ESG, but with a touch of NENAH CHERRY , CRYSTAL WATERS and a little SIOUXSIE & THE BANSHEES. Front woman, Sylvia could be the next super diva, while drummer D also plays with MARS VOLTA. Final member, DJ Nic Diamonds lays down beats for half the rappers in the city. This was grimey and raw and funky.
